Florida Civil Air Patrol Plane Collides with Airliner

An airliner with 20 people aboard collided with a civil air patrol training plane near Ocala, Florida on November 27, 1951, sending the CAP light plane crashing to earth.

A Methodist minister the Rev. John Macy, who was piloting the small plane, was killed.

The DC-3 airliner landed at Ocala airport.

None of the passengers and crew was injured.
