[Editor’s Note: A Civil Air Patrol member has requested that AuxBeacon inform you of the following:]

I sent in a comment earlier, but had time before your usual afternoon release to write a story for you. As an American citizen who served in the United States Navy and in Civil Air Patrol, I am really angry about this and about the corruption you are uncovering in Civil Air Patrol.

As you know by now, my California Wing congressman, and the second to endorse Donald Trump after Chris Collins, has been indicted just like Chris Collins. Congressman Duncan Duane Hunter, aka The Vaping Congressman, was indicted on Tuesday August 21st on charges of wire fraud, falsifying records, campaign finance violations, and conspiracy. He too has been a big Civil Air Patrol photo-opster and voter.

In 2015, Hunter tried to justify a family trip to Italy with a tour of a U.S. Naval facility; when the proposed date didn’t work, Hunter told his chief of staff, “Tell the Navy to go f*ck themselves.”

Now, I understand that your AuxBeacon staffers are victims frustrated over CAP-USAF abuses, but I’ve never seen you lash out in anger against the entire service like that. So, in reward, here’s my contribution to your effort.

Within the 60-count indictment, we read that Congressman Hunter once told his wife Margaret to buy him some “Hawaii shorts” but he didn’t have the money. So she suggested that he buy them at a gold pro shop so that they could describe the purchase as “some (golf) balls for the wounded warriors.”

I was watching when on Tuesday October 7th 2014, Duncan Hunter lied to a FOX News audience that:

“At least 10 ISIS fighters have been caught coming across the Mexican border in Texas” and there are “dozens more that did not get caught by the Border Patrol.”

This total bullshit (can I say that, edit if you must) statement was promptly corrected by Homeland Security spokeswoman, Marsha Catron, who told us:

“The suggestion that individuals who have ties to ISIL have been apprehended at the Southwest border is categorically false, and not supported by any credible intelligence or the facts on the ground. DHS continues to have no credible intelligence to suggest terrorist organizations are actively plotting to cross the southwest border.”

The very next day, the Texas Department of Public Safety wrote state legislators to advise that it “does not have any information to confirm” Duncan Hunter’s statements about Islamic terrorists or ISIS fighters entering the country and Tom Vinger, a spoke for DPS, confirmed the message’s authenticity.

What could be gained from misleading people with statements like this?

If you are SoCal CAP Wing, then you know the name “Duncan Hunter” because his father Duncan Lee Hunter entered congress in 1981, that’s the same year Reagan took office for the young’ns. Duncan Lee Hunter used his influence to massage San Diego’s vast military complex and then handed the enterprise over to his son in 2008.

The elder Hunter, now 70 years old, has pressured his network of conservative San Diego socialites to stymie funding efforts for other GOP candidates in the race. You can easily verify this by googling the Honorable Bill Wells, Mayor of El Cajon.

“The Hunters have a dynasty. People are afraid of retribution. They’re afraid of destroying their own political career or their relationship with the Hunter family.”

So? Why did son Duncan Duane Hunter lie about ISIS entering through the Mexican border?

The answer may lie in an article on page 6 of the September-October 2006 issue of Civil Air Patrol’s Volunteer Magazine. This story, which was subtitled Border training prepares CAP for follow-on request, was a commercial for Civil Air Border Patrol, the Hunter duo and Tony Pineda. In that article, then Congressman Duncan Lee Hunter, R-Calif., was quoted saying:

“CAP was called upon to perform these missions in order to help the state of Arizona spot immigrants in distress and, in the process, prevent the loss of lives on the Mexican border. The problem had reached epic proportions, with 70 deaths on the Arizona-Mexican border in recent weeks alone.”

The Volunteer article continued:

Hunter has worked to seal the U.S. border to illegal aliens and drug trafficking. He authored legislation in 1988 that led to construction of 40 miles of fencing and border infrastructure. In 1995 he authorized an additional 5,000 Border Patrol agents, and he recently successfully added an amendment to the Border Protection, Antiterrorism and Illegal Immigration Act of 2005 that calls for a total of 698 miles of fencing at the five most transited and problematic locations along the southern border.

The soon to be ousted Civil Air Patrol National Commander Tony Pineda closed the story with:

“CAP’s proven track record in SAR missions and our availability of large numbers of aircraft and trained personnel uniquely positioned CAP to successfully conduct these type missions. CAP has performed admirably in its border patroltraining operations, demonstrating our vast capabilities. The success of these training missions contributed to a very positive review by the committee.”

Former Civil Air Patrol National Commander Maj. Gen. Antonio J.Pineda speaks before the House Armed Services Committee in Yuma, Arizona.

Circulating the rumor of ISIL terrorists coming across the Mexican border could be a useful scare tactic with the voter-base and as justification to demand an increase in the Congressional Budget for Civil Air Patrol.

The photo I’m sending you is of our recently departed Pacific Region Vice Commander Carl Morrison with Duncan Duane Hunter.

  1. Riverside Senior bets that Duncan Hunter has enough support to thwart you filthy liberals. We will NOT be letting the millions of filth vote in our elections ever again.

  2. I am a member of [redacted] Civil Air Patrol who served as [redacted]. I have become disgusted with what I discovered in Minnesota Wing. The full story of this has been sent through your contact form, and I realize that you will need to verify it. While you are doing that, you may want to let the public know about these Minnesota Wing Legislative Squadron members. They give state legislators the honorary rank of Major and National appears to have a policy of concealing the rosters of the congressional squadrons. Please keep my name and details out of any stories you write until I offer otherwise.

    Minnesota State Representative Jim Knoblach
In September 2018, Jim Knoblach dropped his reelection bid after MPR News reported that his daughter Laura alleged he had touched her inappropriately between the ages of 9 and 21. A 2017 investigation of the allegations by local law enforcement resulted in St. Cloud police officer Trent Fischer stating that Knoblach’s actions were “really inappropriate but not criminal” as Knoblach did not expose himself or touch his daughter under her clothes.

Former Minnesota State Senator Geoff Michel
On March 19, 2012, an ethics complaint was filed against Michel by Senator Sandy Pappas. Pappas claimed that Michel had “betrayed the public’s trust” by providing an inaccurate statement to the media and that he had brought “dishonor and disrepute” to the Minnesota Senate.

Former Minnesota State Representative Kathy Tingelstad

Tingelstad served as a member of the board of the Anoka-Hennepin School District. She resigned from the board in March 2012 after casting the only vote against a settlement with the US Justice Department over the district’s handling of issues involving bullying and sexual orientation. Students had said the district did not adequately respond to their complaints of persistent physical and verbal harassment based on real or perceived sexual orientation.

“On or about September 26, 2015, in Anaheim, California, the Hunters spent $229.44 in Campaign funds at Disneyland’s Star Trader shop on gifts, including two Minnie Mouse Ear headbands, a Star Wars droid knit beanie, and a raglan-sleeve black-and-gray Star Wars girls T-shirt. In order to conceal and disguise this transaction, Margaret Hunter falsely informed the Treasurer that the charge was for ‘food/bev.’”

  5. The Hunters have a dynasty. People are afraid of retribution. They’re afraid of destroying their own political career or their relationship with the Hunter family.

CAP members behave like this, the parents are fearful and the cadets are brainwashed to believe absolute rubbish about how things should be and about who is doing who wrong. Most just stand by and watch as others get the fid, but a few send photos to AuxBeacon.

  6. “Duncan Hunter facilitated the theft of campaign funds by ignoring his campaign staff’s multiple warnings about Margaret’s improper use of campaign funds, accusing campaign staff of disloyalty by ‘trying to create some kind of paper trail on me’ when they raised concerns about improper spending, and continually refusing to remove her access to campaign funds.”

AuxBeacon builds a really nice trail, electronically.
