This Saturday night is the date set for a mammoth benefit dance, and vaudeville show for the widow and children of the late James Lyle, Civil Air Patrol pilot killed in a plane crash while on squadron maneuvers, June 3.

Although an auxiliary of the Air Force, CAP explains that it receives no benefits since it is completely voluntary.

Lyle, who was a correspondent for United Press in San Francisco, leaves a wife and four small in desperate financial need.

All contributions may be sent to “Civil Air Patrol Lyle Benefit”, 89 Alta Vista avenue, Mill Valley.

The benefit will be staged in the Mill Valley Outdoor Art center and will feature professional night club and theatrical acts from San Francisco, who are donating their services.

Dancing will be from 9 pm to 1 am to the music of a ten-piece orchestra. Tickets for the affair may be purchased from any CAP member.
