The Civil Air Patrol claims to have a great flight safety record. It is far from the truth. Attached is an older CAP accident report for your reference. Please redact my name.

[Redacted]

In 2004, General Aviation (GA) landing accidents account for ~ 1/3 (33%) of all aircraft accidents. CAP experienced 4 out of 6 (66%). Why do you think this is happening? In GA, 25% of landing accidents occur during flight instruction. 3 out of 4 CAP landing accidents (75%) this year had CAP Certified Flight Instructors on-board. Poor landings and pilot error are consistently a top CAP safety trend.
